This important talk show, attended by the Governor of Northern Province, the Enough Campaign Technical Advisor from World Vision Rwanda, and the Head of Programs at CLADHO, focused on raising public awareness about the current state of malnutrition in Rwanda and the critical role various stakeholders play in combating it.
During the discussion, the Governor of the Northern Province underscored the alarming statistics and root causes of malnutrition and stunting in Rwanda. He also highlighted the government’s steadfast commitment to eradicating malnutrition, emphasizing the crucial role local government structures play in supporting school feeding programs and implementing nutrition-sensitive policies.
The Head of Programs at CLADHO discussed the pivotal role of civil society in community sensitization, advocacy, and ensuring accountability. She stressed the importance of empowering children, parents, and caregivers with education on child nutrition and hygiene.
