Empowering Children to Drive Change in School Feeding Programs

On 5 /04/2025 in various areas where World Vision is active ,An inspiring and impactful event unfolded as CLADHO, in partnership with WORLD VISION RWANDA , successfully coordinated a training session organized by the World Vision Global Center. This unique training focused on empowering children by equipping them with essential research skills to examine and contribute to school feeding programs.

The main goal was to engage these young minds in research, allowing them to understand the importance of proper nutrition and how it impacts their education and well-being. With the right tools and knowledge, the children learned how to gather and analyze data on school feeding programs, providing valuable insights to improve these initiatives. By building their research capacity, the training not only empowered these young participants but also encouraged them to take an active role in creating positive change.

What made this initiative even more meaningful is its focus on sustainability. Instead of just relying on external solutions, this training gave children the skills to research and propose their own solutions for improving school feeding. By involving them directly in the process, we are laying the foundation for a future where these young leaders can continue to advocate for effective and sustainable school feeding programs that benefit all students.

Through this collaborative effort, we are taking a significant step toward achieving more sustainable and effective school feeding solutions. It’s a powerful reminder of the importance of investing in the future, where children not only receive education but are also empowered to shape the systems that support them. This training is just the beginning, and we are excited to see the positive ripple effects that will emerge as these young researchers continue their journey of learning and advocacy.

Together, we can create a world where every child has access to nutritious food, paving the way for brighter futures and more successful educational experiences.
