Human Rights Promotion, Education and monitoring Program

Promoting human rights, educating the public, and monitoring human rights violations are crucial aspects of advancing a culture of respect for human dignity and well-being. In this program, CLADHO undertakes various activities as follow:

  1. Research , Advocacy and Lobbying
    • Conduct research on human rights issues,
    • Produce reports, publications, and other materials to inform the public and policymakers about human rights conditions,
    • Advocate for the adoption and implementation of laws and policies that uphold human rights standards,
    • Support CSOs ,Private Sector and other stakeholders including local leaders to apply Human Rights Based Approach in their daily work.
  2. Human Rights Education and Awareness Campaigns
    • Develop and implement educational programs to raise awareness about human rights principles and values,
    • Conduct workshops, seminars, and training sessions for various groups.
  3. Legal Assistance and Support
    • Provide legal aid and support to individuals or groups whose human rights have been violated,
    • Work towards improving access to justice and strengthening legal frameworks for the protection of human rights.
  4. Community Engagement
    • Engage with local communities to understand their specific human rights concerns and tailor programs accordingly,
    • Foster a sense of ownership and empowerment within communities to advocate for their own rights.
  5. Capacity Building
    • Build the capacity of local organizations, activists, and community leaders to effectively promote and protect human rights,
    • Provide training on legal frameworks, advocacy strategies, and communication skills.
  6. Emergency Response
    • Respond swiftly to human rights emergencies,
    • Providing assistance and advocacy in crisis situations.
  7. Monitoring and Reporting
    • Establish mechanisms to monitor human rights conditions on an ongoing basis.
    • Compile and publish regular reports on the state of human rights, highlighting both progress and areas where improvements are needed.
  8. International Collaboration
    • Collaborate with international human rights organizations, NGOs, and governmental bodies to address global human rights issues.
    • Participate in international forums and contribute to the development of global human rights standards.
